Oyun Alanı
Oyun Alanı (Playground) is an installation we designed for the "Çocuk Olmanın Şarkısı" exhibition. The structure is made of 36 wooden plinths balanced one on top of another. In the exhibition, the design served as a display unit presenting the work of three artists together.
The intricate arrangement of the plinths gave visitors the atmosphere of a playground directly, in keeping with the theme of the exhibition. They experienced the artworks not on a standard plane but inside a form that moves and invites exploration.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Oyun Alanı was designed as a vertical extension of the "Çocuk Olmanın Şarkısı" exhibition. This intricate geometric structure functioned, for the duration of the exhibition, as a dedicated display unit presenting the work of three artists together.
The installation was built from 36 wooden plinths stacked in an interlocking arrangement to achieve a complex, dynamic vertical balance. This structural approach emphasises the vertical rise of the plinths and their geometric intricacy while also displaying the vertical balance within each one.
"Play", the central theme of the exhibition, takes physical form in this structure. The vertical, intricate, balanced stack of plinths sets out to evoke the cheerful, dynamic, exploratory atmosphere of a playground. Placed at different levels of the plinths, the artists' works became part of this dynamic structure and invited visitors on a vertical journey of discovery.
